The environment program at the Lebanese Water Festival
For the second consecutive year, arcenciel’s environment program will collect the Lebanese Water Festival’s plastic bottles and cans, to be held from August 9 to September 27, 2014. The objective of the festival is to promote water sports in Lebanon through the implementation of various activities such as surfing, diving, water-skiing, in different coastal regions such as Jiyeh, Batroun, and Kaslik. The festival also aims to raise awareness about the shores’ cleaning. Thus, sorting bins will be installed during the various events planned as part of the festival. This waste will be collected by arcenciel, whom will ensure its preparation for recycling followed by its transportation to recycling plants. The sale of this waste will finance social services.
